First Class stateroom chest of drawers in blue metal with ring pull handles, built-in light with shade. Above the top drawer is a pull out surface which would convert the drawer to a writing surface. The lamp has been professionally rewired and the shade reupholstered using the original frame. When removed from the ship, the cabinet had had asbestos coating on its back (the ship was built to be fireproof in the early 1950s). Since then, the asbestos has been professionally remediated. A copy of the receipt for that work included with sale.
