Late 20th Century, porcelain figures hand painted in cobalt blue. Seated with tiger skin draped over their chairs, wearing robes with dragon and peony, the symbols of the emperor and empress, each has an apocryphal six character Qianlong mark to the lower back.
Condition: Good condition. Emperor base has a one inch chip on the edge of the front of the base. Empress has two, one inch chips on the edge of the front of the base. Backs of both statues have chipped base edges. Empress has one bead missing from her necklace. Missing glaze and hairline cracks from firing.
Dimensions: Each statue is approximately 26.5 in H x 11 in W x 11.5 in D. Total weight is approximately 85 lbs.Ê
