Hughes Auctions is pleased to announce our January 17th Fine Art & Design Auction. The highlight of this auction is The Frozen Canal, circa 1924, by Fern Isabel Coppedge (1883-1951). Privately owned since 1937 and in storage since the 1970s, it would be impossible to overstate our excitement about bringing this spectacular oil painting back into the Coppedge repertoire. We are also pleased to offer a selection of vintage estate and designer jewelry including a stunning Eric De Kolb 14K Gold Fu Dog and Snake Ring, a Vintage Omega Constellation Watch, as well a selection of ladies diamond wrist watches, vintage Navajo silver and turquoise jewelry. Studio pottery includes a beautiful 10.5 inch tall Pewabic Iridescent Blue Glaze Vase and Bead Necklaces made by Doyle Lane (1925-2002). Artwork includes work by Enrico Brandani (1914-1979), Louis Emile Pinel De Grandchamp (1831-1894), Lenora Beatrice Neville Whelan (1908-2003), and many others.
