Auction Description

The February 16th Hughes Auctions features fine art, decorative objects, furnitures, and jewelry spanning multiple centuries and styles. We are thrilled to offer an incredibly Single Owner collection of early and rare Eames chairs, including several Eames rope edge rockers and chairs from the La Fonda line! Fine art encompasses works from the 19th to 21st Centuries, with pieces by both established and lesser-known artists. Highlights include works by Frederic Milton Grant, Camille Barthelemy, Colin Campbell Cooper, Richard Petri, and Paul Delance, as well as an interesting selection of lithographs and prints by notable artists such as Joseph Solman, Robert Motherwell, Rodney Greenblat, Friedensreich Hundertwasser, and Marcel Mouly. The sale also includes an eclectic mix of decorative arts, including Asian artifacts, sterling Judaica, and vintage trade signage. The furniture selection extends beyond the Eames pieces to include works by other notable designers such as Midcentury and Contemporary designers Paul McCobb, Angel Pazmino, Dakota Jackson, Rose Tarlow, and Greg Lipton. A nice selection of jewelry and timepieces includes a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Watch, a graded 1888-S Liberty Head $20 Gold US Coin, and vintage gold nugget bracelet.
