Roy John Riley was born in Independence, Kansas on April 19, 1903. He studied at the California College of Arts & Crafts, at the Detroit Art School, at the Huettles Art School in Chicago, at the Univ. of Tulsa with Franz Vanderlachen. Also a pupil of Merlin Enabnet. He died in December of 1983 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Exhibitions: Philbrook Museum of Art; Ruskin Club; Verdigris Valley Art Exhibition; Scottsdale Artist League.
