H.M.S Pinafore, Farewell Dinner Commemorative Drawing by R Pywell. Souvenir of attendees' signed autographs at the Savoy Hotel London November 15, 1918. Apparently this document is joking that N.D.K. MacEwen, the Man of Honor, was "retiring" from the HMS PINAFORE, a fictional ship that was the setting for a Gilbert & Sullivan musical opera. Sir MacEwen was Royal Air Force, and in 1918 left London for Afghanistan, marked here by the illustration of a map with a plane and a line showing the stops on his journey. 24 signatures, many of them decorated.  Visible: Approx. 11 in. x 16 in. Overall: Approx. 19 in. x 24 in. Weight 5 lbs. 4 oz.
