Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881-1973). LAge de Soleil (Pour Roby). Frauenkopf. 1950. Etching. Reverse impression. Signed and titled in the plate. Picasso created the printing plate for his friend, author Robert Godet (a.k.a. Roby), to include in Godet's book LAge de Soleil. (Since the plate reproduced the drawing exactly, a print from the plate is reversed. Hence, Picassos signature and the script, Pour Roby appear backwards.)
