Titled Oasis. Signed on the back in the lower left corner. Tapestry is made of hooked and sculptured wool. Includes a wooden board with title and information. Design features graphic horizontal lines in earth tones.

Bio from Washington State Arts: Northwest fiber artist Gloria Crouse (1925-2011) created imaginative textiles and sculptures that explored color, texture and form. Evolving out of the craft of traditional rug-hooking, Crouse pursued innovative techniques and used unexpected materials to express each piece's conceptual content. She lived in Olympia and on Vashon Island, both in Western Washington.

Condition

Good condition. Light discoloration on the lower right third of the artwork. Top left corner has a two-inch rip on the edge.
