A French nineteenth century painter, watercolorist and etcher of landscapes and figure studies, Georges Duseigneur first studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in his native Lyon in 1859 and 1860. He then finished his education in Paris, studying under both de Gleyre and Yvon. Georges Duseigneur began exhibiting his paintings and etchings at the Paris Salon in 1865. He continued to exhibit his art at major institutions in both Paris and Lyon during the remainder of the nineteenth century.
